30 x 3½ Beaded Edge Tyres

This tyre size was original equipment on the Ford Model T, and a matching spare was commonly carried on touring and later production models. Wards Riverside beaded edge tyres were widely supplied through the Montgomery Ward mail order catalogue, which is why they became one of the most familiar Model T tyres in the 1910s and 1920s.

Beaded edge (also known as clincher tyres) tyres use an innertube and very high pressure to locate securely on the rim. They maintain the authentic look and handling of an early Ford better than switching to 21” well-based wheels. This 5-tyre set ensures the spare wheel is just as correct as the four on the road.

Innertubes for 30 x 3½ Beaded Edge Tyres

All beaded edge tyres must run with innertubes. At Longstone we recognise the quality of Michelin tubes over others and recommend them wherever possible. Our recommended 30 x 3½ tubes are the Michelin 760x90 Central Valve Inner Tube and the Long Central Valve Model T Inner Tube.
