• The 265/50 R16 tyre size is extremely rare, created for high-performance 1980s sports cars.
• The flagship tyre in this size is the 265/50 VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 F from the Pirelli Collezione range.
• On the Ferrari Testarossa 16″ wheel conversions, it was the homologated rear tyre, paired with the 225/50 VR16 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 on the front, replacing the hard-to-find 415 mm TRX rear setup.
• For the Ferrari 288 GTO, Pirelli approved 265/50 VR16 P7 rears with 225/50 VR16 P7 fronts as the ideal tyre combination.
• Originally marked 265/50 VR16, the “V” rating covered speeds over 149 mph. Modern reproductions now read 265/50 R16 101Y, rated for 186 mph, offering the same performance with updated safety standards.
