Pneus TVR Grantura
TVR Grantura

History of the TVR Grantura
The TVR Grantura was the first in a long series of TVR vehicles. It debuted in 1958 and went through several iterations, culminating in the Mark I to Mark IV and 1800S versions. The final ones were produced in September 1967. These coupés were hand-built at the TVR facility in Blackpool, England, with varied mechanical specifications and were available as kits. All of the cars used a combination of Austin-Healey brakes, VW Beetle or Triumph suspension components, and BMC rear axles.
The bodyshell was constructed from glass-reinforced plastic and had a number of unique components. The bonnet was hinged at the front. There was no access from the back, but the boot could be opened from the inside; the spare wheel had to be taken through the front doors. Buyers may select from a variety of powerplants, including Ford side or overhead valve engines, a Coventry Climax unit, the MGA engine, and, finally, the 1798cc BMC B-series engine, depending on the type.
A: The 165 HR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CA67 is arguably the best tyre in the size 165R15 for a classic car. It also has the benefit of being of the same period as a Grantura. The 165-15 Michelin XAS and 165 VR 15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN36 N are also excellent.
